After fleeing a marriage proposal she wasn’t ready for, Mona sets off alone into the Alpine trails, unprepared and out of her depth. Quickly confronted with the harshness of the mountains and her own fears, she crosses paths with Krystal, a free-spirited and seasoned hiker who is also running from something. Between improvised bivouacs, awkward missteps, and suspended moments, an unexpected bond begins to form between the two women. Yet beneath this luminous escape, Mona continues to avoid her reality: a worried partner, a life that feels too small, and choices she has yet to face. When the journey takes a turn and forces them back toward the world they left behind, Mona can no longer run.
