One night a robbery at a drugstore ends in a bloody shoot-out. Nikita is arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. She is given, however, a chance to buy out by signing an unbreechable contract with the government. After three years of intensive training and a final test, Nikita, given a new identity, becomes a paid government assassin.
