The Disney+ App Just Got an Update, Here’s What You Need to Know

November 7, 2025

Featuring a refreshed design, easier navigation, personalized recommendations, and more.

Starting today, Disney+ may look a little different, and that’s by design. Wondering what's new? Read on, we’ll break down the changes and how they’ll enhance your streaming experience.

What are the new features coming to the Disney+ App?

New Navigation Bar and Live Hub

The top of the homepage got a facelift. There’s the new “For You” tab, home to titles we think you’ll enjoy streaming. There are also tabs for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN, depending on your subscription, making it easier to explore each catalog individually.

We’ve also added a new Live hub (lighting bolt icon) so you can dive right into live events, sports, and our 24/7 Streams.

A More Personalized and Dynamic Homepage

Our goal is to make it easy for you to find and stream the stories that you want to watch. Enter the “For You” tab, a new feature that serves up personalized recommendations based on what you’ve watched so far. It shows you content we think you’ll enjoy and are likely to watch. It will only improve with time — the more you stream, the better it gets.

Tip: Be sure to watch with your own personal profile, so your streaming suggestions are based on your unique viewing preferences. To help, we're making profiles more prominent on the homepage so it's easier to see which profile you’re watching from.

Making it Easier to Discover and Find Content

Our new homepage design isn’t just modern. It's also intuitive, designed to help you find and stream recommendations faster. The new video display in the hero carousel puts our characters and stories front and center. A more dynamic brand row showcases the latest titles from each brand to quickly get you streaming. In addition to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, the new brand row now also includes Hulu Originals, FX, ESPN Originals, and ABC News. We’ve also updated our content rows to showcase more cinematic poster-style artwork and are adding badges to “Season Finales”, “New Series”, and “New Movies” to make it really easy to find just-added episodes and titles.

This is just the beginning

More changes are on the horizon, leading up to a unified app experience in 2026.
