Disney+ Language Options Explained

“The world at your fingertips” takes on a whole new meaning with Disney+ subtitles and dubbing. With over 40 languages (and counting!) available on many titles, including Disney+ Originals, you can stream your favorite stories without barriers.

Depending on your country/region and selected title, language options may include:

  • English (US and UK)

  • Spanish (Latin America and Spain)

  • French (Canada and France)

  • German

  • Italian

  • Dutch

  • Portuguese

  • Chinese

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • … And more!

While playing your title of choice:

  1. Open the settings menu

  2. Select your desired dubbing language

  3. Close the settings menu and keep streaming!

  2. Select or de-select the subtitle option you wish to turn on or off

How To Change Language On Roku

While playing your title of choice:

  1. Open the settings menu by selecting the * button on your Roku remote

  2. Select your desired subtitle language

  3. Close the settings menu and keep watching!

When A Title Won’t Play In The Language You Want

If you can’t find the language you want in the settings menu, you can try changing the app language to get the version of the title you need.

How To Change App Language To Find The Right Version

  1. Open the Disney+ app

  2. Select the profile icon > Edit Profiles

  3. Select the profile you wish to edit

  4. Under App Language, select your desired language

  5. Select Done

If there is a version available in the selected app language, your content will automatically play in the language you chose.
