In New York, a French UN delegate disappears into thin air. Reporter Moreau and alcoholic photographer Delmas spring into action to try to find the missing Frenchman, but their only lead is a picture of three women. After the pair visit all three women in the picture, one of them attempts suicide. The woman’s confession leaves Moreau feeling confident that the case is closed, but Delmas sees the opportunity for a scandalous scoop.
