详细信息
1814. While Napoleon languishes in prison on Elba, the crowned heads of Europe flock to Vienna to gamble on the war-torn continent’s future. Between champagne, love affairs and power games, Wilhelmine von Sagan, arch-schemer, royalist and Prince Metternich’s mistress, has a fateful encounter with Baron Amor Łaski, a Bonapartist and rake. The French Foreign Minister Talleyrand plays off the victorious powers Austria, Prussia, Russia and England against each other, while the Tsar and his sister conspire with the king of Prussia. When Seidl, a minor bureaucrat, forges a letter to discredit his rival, he unleashes a chain of fateful consequences that forces all the players to make risky decisions.
