A Spark Into a Flame: Hamilton and Hip Hop

Hip-hop and Broadway ignite in this story of two worlds coming together to create “The Hamilton Mixtape.” Lin-Manuel Miranda reveals his passion for both hip-hop and musical theater, and how he first conceived of and began writing “Hamilton” as a mixtape. Joined by many notable others from the pages and the studios where it happened, the full-circle story unfolds of how “Hamilton” resonated across artists and communities, and how the mixtape became “Hamilton” the musical and back again.
