Season 2 sees the return of all of our favourites including Jack Dawkins aka The Artful Dodger, David Thewlis as Fagin and Maia Mitchell as Lady Belle Fox plus some intriguing new faces in Luke Bracey as Inspector Henry Boxer, Jeremy Sims as Uncle Dickie and rising star Zac Burgess as Phineas Golden up the ante.

Episode 1

As The Artful Dodger’s date with the noose is brought forward, Lady Belle and the cunning Fagin race against time to help Jack dodge his fate. Meanwhile, the town’s new detective, Inspector Boxer, arrives just in time to intervene in a bloody mess at the docks. Fagin stumbles upon his most lucrative and risky scheme yet. Lady Jane strikes a deal which damns the colony’s finest surgeon and sees Belle go rogue.

Episode 2

With Dodger trapped as Fagin’s convict servant, Fagin soon hatches a plan to cut him loose involving some dirty deeds. Fagin, Flashbang and Aputi discover Darius’ secret, while Phineas admires Fanny’s artistic talents. Inspector Boxer discovers a lead in a terrifying new case, while Belle and an increasingly reckless Jack find themselves up to their elbows in blood and trouble.

Episode 3

Dodger can’t catch a break. Sneed, Prof and Jack deal with the mystifying case of a young patient having visions. Inspector Boxer has found evidence placing Jack at a crime scene, but does he know about Belle’s connection to this grisly find? With Fanny’s criminal skills showing potential, Jack gatecrashes the masquerade ball at Government House to help source a crucial element for Fagin’s devious scheme. But is Dodger there for the heist, or to steal the Belle of the ball away from her new suitor?

Episode 4

When a recent trauma returns to haunt Jack, Tim gives him a way to silence his demons – a brilliant invention. To complete it will take a little bit of artfulness, with Dodger, Fagin and an unlikely ally embarking on a risky new heist right under the colony’s nose. Lady Belle finds herself in over her head after a difficult surgery. Uncle Dickie threatens to turn Lady Jane’s world upside down, and Inspector Boxer notices a gruesome pattern emerging.

Episode 5

Tragedy strikes, leaving Belle’s confidence lying in ruins. But when a baffling case presents itself, will she be able to rise to the occasion? A devastated Fanny crosses a line, giving Darius a possible means of payback against Fagin, whose scheme already sits on a knife’s edge. Lady Jane ratchets up the pressure on Jack, as his secretive relationship with Belle is threatened and Inspector Boxer makes a play for Belle’s affections.

Episode 6

Belle and Jack’s relationship reaches new heights, but when a juicy revelation is exposed, our star-crossed lovers’ diagnosis looks grim. Fagin gives into his worst impulses and drops a bomb with shocking results and a below the belt surgery forces Belle and Jack together. With a murderer on the loose, Lady Jane pressures Inspector Boxer to bring in the prime suspect and as the Governor bravely takes a stand, the shocking true identity of the real killer is finally revealed.

Episode 7

A cholera outbreak strikes Port Victory, and with the body count rising, Belle and Jack race against time to discover the source of the contagion. With Fagin’s life on the line, a truly explosive scheme is hatched involving saltpetre, the ingredient that gives gunpowder its bang. Meanwhile, Inspector Boxer’s search for the killer leads him deep into Devil’s Elbow, Port Victory’s seedy underbelly, where he comes face to face with a gruesome revelation.

Episode 8

For Jack, finding a cure for cholera will be difficult, but finding a way out of his current predicament could prove pretty much impossible. Lady Jane finds herself forced into a corner, leading to a revelation that will shock Belle to her core. Fanny’s skills help turn the tide against Uncle Dickie and Fagin is pursued from all sides by enemies old and new. With his scheme falling down around him, is Fagin’s only way out the most drastic option of all?
