If you’ve ever cracked open a cold one in the alley with Hank, Bill, Dale, and Boomhauer, welcome home.

The gang’s all here – and while Arlen, TX has changed, the heart of King Of The Hill hasn’t. Hank and Peggy are back after a stint abroad in the Middle East, settling into a very different version of their hometown. Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill have held the fort down in Arlen, but plenty has changed around them: Bobby’s now a head chef of German-Japanese fusion restaurant, Robata Chane, that shows just how far his passion for food has taken him.

This new chapter delivers on what fans loved most – sharp humor, grounded emotion, and a deep love for life’s quiet moments – now viewed through the lens of today’s world. Every new episode blends familiarity with fresh perspective and, at the center of it all, is the bond between Hank and Bobby — one of animation’s most iconic father-son bonds.

What happened in King of the Hill Season 13?

Season 13 (the show’s 2008-09 farewell) ties up several threads: Luanne and Lucky welcome baby Gracie, Dale temporarily loses his signature voice, and Peggy’s over-the-top ambitions keep hilariously misfiring, all while Arlen’s usual absurdities carry on. It all leads up to the heartfelt finale, where Bobby’s unexpected gift for competitive meat judging wins him a state title — and finally, Hank’s full approval. The two share a side-by-side grill moment that mirrors the pilot, closing the series with the kind of quiet, earned emotional payoff that has defined King Of The Hill from the start.
