The show continues with 10 jam-packed setups only the Gang could find themselves in. Charlie (Charlie Day), Mac (Rob Mac), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) are wrapped up in salvaging inheritances from a dead woman, surviving tent encampments, and the great inside-outside divide between the haves and have-nots, withstanding job loss at the hands of workplace automation, embracing a newfound appreciation for neurodivergence, questioning the fabric of society against conspiracy theories, and of course, the biggest elephant in the room, outlasting the public’s pendulum swing against drinking. Not to mention battling nerds, LARPers, and a particularly petulant McPoyle clan at the Renaissance Faire or sportswashing their way back into the good graces of their community by sponsoring a Little League team. All the while trying to maintain order in their personal lives and at Paddy’s, which have become increasingly lawless and erratic.
Get ready for some of the series’ most outrageous moments yet, with loads of star cameos, as well as nods to iconic Philly traditions. It’s art imitating life imitating art.
So, step right up to the plate and brace yourself for one hell of a swing. The Gang may be into their 50s and 80s now, but their behavior is more out of control than ever. Who said with age comes wisdom? That person sure is a jabroni.

Don’t be fooled by Charlie’s scruffy appearance and lack of book smarts. He’s saved the Gang and Paddy’s Pub almost as many times as he’s jeopardized them, and his musical abilities border on genius.
Whether he’s pursuing the Waitress, playing Night Crawlers with Frank, or practicing bird law, this wild card always keeps his friends guessing.

Mac played by Rob Mac
Mac considers himself the ultimate badass - the bouncer and self-appointed sheriff of Paddy’s. As the Gang’s head of security, he performs ocular pat-downs, assesses potential threats, and stands ready to deploy his self-taught and ineffective karate skills, despite zero evidence that any of these skills are ever needed.
Beneath all this bravado, Mac will go to extraordinary and frequently humiliating lengths for the approval of the men he idolizes - such as his career-criminal father, baseball legend Chase Utley, and Dennis, whose validation he pursues with limitless devotion.

Dennis Reynolds played by Glenn Howerton
No one in the Gang is a particularly sympathetic character, but Dennis may be the most calculating and self-delusional of them all by relying on his self-professed charm, superiority, and good looks to control and exploit everyone around him. When untethered, his rage knows no bounds.
He invented the D.E.N.N.I.S. system for picking up women, started a cult just to stop Mac from eating his Thin Mints, and, refers to himself as a “Golden God” and a “5-star man.”

Howerton starred in BlackBerry and had a recurring role on The Mindy Project (Hulu).
Dee Reynolds played by Kaitlin Olson
Is it a bird? No. It’s Dee Reynolds—a beautiful woman who is definitely not bird-like, despite what the Gang insists. If you ask her fantasy husband, Josh Groban, she’s the total package.
Dee is catastrophically self-deluded and always convinced her next audition, stand-up set, or brilliantly self-serving scheme is the one that will finally make her a star. Unfortunately for Dee, those dreams usually end in spectacular humiliation—whether she’s bombing on stage, desperately trying not to vomit into the microphone during a stand-up set, or watching another grand plan crash and burn.

Olson is the star of the comedy crime procedural High Potential (Hulu) and starred as Mickey in The Mick (Hulu).
Frank Reynolds played by Danny DeVito
Frank Reynolds joined the Gang in Season 2 as Dee and Dennis’s dad, abandoning a life of luxury to live in squalor with Charlie. Since then, he’s fallen out of a window, mangled his foot with his infamous toe knife, and accidentally shot himself—and the rest of the Gang—with his beloved handgun.
None of that has slowed down “The Warthog,” whose bottomless bankroll and non-existent moral compass make him the Gang’s most enthusiastic financier. Whether he’s crawling naked out of a leather couch, boiling denim, or diving headfirst into the latest half-baked scheme, Frank is always all in—and usually the first to suggest something completely unhinged.
