As they serve out their sentences, they'll be forced to contend with the constant threat posed by a gang known as Los Pajaritos, all while clinging to the faint hope of a future that’s becoming harder and harder to picture. Yet even in that harsh environment, they’ll find allies, like Saray, a sharp-witted young woman who’d rather stay inside than return to the chaos of her life on the outside, or Mario, a dedicated staff member whose belief in second chances runs so deep he’s willing to risk everything to help these kids find a way forward.
