From a young age, Giovanni Buonvino was taught that justice always triumphs, that good conquers evil, which is why when he grew up, he decided to join the police force. To fulfill his dream, he even broke ties with his family, who had instilled in him those principles of justice and moral integrity, but certainly not so he could become a cop. Giovanni had a successful career, rising to the rank of deputy police commissioner, but during a raid to capture a major fugitive, he made a serious mistake, and as punishment, he was demoted to a tedious and frustrating bureaucratic position. Life seems to be giving him a second chance when completely out of the blue, he transfers from that dusty office at police headquarters to command a precinct.
